It was a tragic day on November 28th, 2021 when it was announced that American fashion designer Virgil Abloh had passed away. A staple in the world of fashion in all areas, Abloh touched the hearts of a generation, leaving a mark for the generations to come. On November 30th, Louis Vuitton honored their late artistic director at their Spring-Summer 2022 Collection unveiling in Miami titled, “Virgil Was Here.”
Abloh’s Spring-Summer 2022 Louis Vuitton Collection showcased his upcoming product line which includes various apparel styles, accessories and a high fashion collaboration between LV and Nike. While shots of the LV x Nike collaboration have both leaked and been featured in Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer unveiling in Paris earlier this year, they also were a focal point at the "Virgil Was Here" event. Now, we have a first look at the “Triple White” editions of the Nike Air Force 1 in mid and low-top form.
Both Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1's feature full premium Italian leather uppers with debossed LV branding throughout. A deconstructed tongue, an Off-White staple has been applied to this pair along with medial side branding. A custom dual branded tongue tag with LV Paris branding on the back heels are finished off by classic Air cushioned rubber soles. Each pair was made in Fiesso d’Artico which is a town in the Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy.
In addition to the Triple White Air Force 1 Mids and Lows, there have been numerous other colorways of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1's. As of now, the following colorways have surfaced: Damier Ebene/Damier Azur patterned mid and low, green and white LV monogram, red and white LV monogram, white and black LV embossed leather, yellow and white LV monogram low, Damier Azur with graffiti mid, blue and white LV monogram low, black and white LV monogram low, and a multicolored-black LV embossed low.
The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1's are set to release in 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select retailers in-store and online.
