LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT: NFL Week 13’s Best Tunnel Fits

The NFL playoff picture is nearly set as we approach the final weeks of the regular season. There have been several notable surprises, including the Patriots and Drake Maye leading the AFC, the Titans barely managing one win so far with the #1 overall pick, Cam Ward, and the Giants suffering seven straight losses, currently sitting at an abysmal 2-11 record. Well, this author can’t really speak on the Giants like that considering the Commanders are only one win above them in the NFC East.

While there is plenty of time for the playoff picture to be shaken up, we’re not here to analyze the game on the field. We’re looking at the best tunnel fits worn in Week 13 as part of Sole Retriever’s LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT series.

AJ Brown

Eagles wideout AJ Brown popped off the day after Thanksgiving against the Bears, copping two TDs and 132 receiving yards. Maybe his pre-game fit helped him have his best game of the season so far as he laced up the Nike LeBron 23 Bubble Boy.

AJ Epenesa

Last year, Nike made a big push for the new Nike Kobe 6 cleats with a mismatched Grinch and Reverse Grinch pair worn across the NFL on Thanksgiving Day. While The Swoosh’s football division laced up stars with the new Vaporposite cleat, Bills defensive end AJ Epenesa brought Mamba energy this week with the Reverse Grinch Kobe 6 in the tunnel.

The online chatter about how Travis Scott Jordan 1s are NPC sneakers continues to rage on, but Cooper Kupp doesn’t care. The Seahawks wide receiver was spotted wearing the Reverse Mocha colorway of Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low, a pair that now commands over $1,100 in most sizes on StockX.

Daniel Jones

We just got done talking about Travis Scott Jordan 1 Lows, and yet we have another star who laced up La Flame’s iconic Jordan collab. That would be Daniel Jones, who, after having a lackluster season for the Giants last year, has led the Indianapolis Colts to a respectable 8-4 record. He went OG and wore the very first colorway of Scott’s AJ 1 Low.

Jacoby Brissett

With Kyler Murray out for at least another few weeks, Jacoby Brissett continues to command the Arizona Cardinals offense. He had a great game this week, completing 29 of 49 passes for two touchdowns and 301 yards, but the Cardinals once again took the L, putting them at 3-9 for the season. Before his losing efforts, Brissett wore the original Travis Scott Air Force 1 Low.

Jared Goff

This list is full of starting QBs this week, huh? Add another to the list with Lions QB1 Jared Goff also leaning into the Travis Scott vibes for his pre-game fit. Maybe he was one of the lucky few who were able to cop the recent fragment design Travis Jordan 1 Low collab as he wore it ahead of the Lions’ Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Packers.

Maxx Crosby

While we were able to catch up with Maxx Crosby in Vegas back in October, where he revealed his favorite Air Jordan 11 colorways, he has been absent from this list for the entire season. This week, the Raiders defensive end joined AJ Epenesa in channeling the Black Mamba by wearing the Nike Kobe 6 Grinch.

Romeo Doubs

Thanksgiving Day fits in the NFL are much less formal than what your grandma expects you to wear, just look at Romeo Doubs. The Packers wideout entered the stadium on Thanksgiving wearing a cult-classic Air Jordan 5 with the Burgundy colorway, which was re-released for the first time since its OG 2006 drop in 2023.

Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley isn’t having as stellar of a season as he did last year, but he’s still stunting off the field with his tunnel fits. A consistent entry in LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT, he made week 13’s list with his choice of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Retro High Black Toe.

Shedeur Sanders

Going from projected first-rounder all the way to the fifth round as the 144th overall draft pick might put a chip on your shoulder, especially if you’re the son of the legendary Deion Sanders. Shedeur played his cards right, and had a bit of luck with injuries to other QBs, as he’s now the starter for the Cleveland Browns. In his tunnel walk for his second-ever start in the NFL, Sanders laced up the upcoming retro of his father’s Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 in the Fire Red colorway.

Travis Jones

Closing out the list this week is yet another Travis Scott sneaker, this time worn by a fellow Travis, Travis Jones. The Ravens' nose tackle zipped up the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low Cactus Jack, which features a zipper shroud and patchwork construction.
