The New Balance RC56 arrived at the perfect time. Debuted and designed with the help of ALD, the low-profile racer fits the current moment’s focus on retro runners, dance shoe silhouettes, and racecar-inspired design themes. After breaking out with ALD and following it up with a run of simple, clean inline colorways, the RC56 is adding to its lore with an overseas collab in partnership with Valence, France’s Le Labo Store.

The Le Labo Store x New Balance RC56 keeps things classy in a mix of black and brown, focusing on material instead of color pops with premium leather and suede added to every panel. So far, we’ve only seen quick previews of the upcoming colorway on Instagram, but this one is clearly one of the best RC56 pairs we’ve seen yet.
