Very organic, Larry. As adidas continues to push its lifestyle catalog with the help of major musicians from Bad Bunny to Peso Pluma, San Francisco indie rapper Larry June is adding to the friends & family Super Bowl colorway that sparked his relationship with the Three Stripes.
In a new Instagram post, Larry let a picture slip of a new adidas collaboration on the iconic Rod Laver tennis shoe. Mixing animal skin prints in light blue, the colorway puts ostrich print on the toecap and reptile skin on the side panels and tongue. The laces and midsole are white, and pops of color are added with teal on the sockliner and insole, blue on the back of the tongue, deep red on the lace tips, and gold on the heel tab.
The tongue adds a Piet Mondrian-style bit of color blocking with a circular orange in the middle to represent Larry’s organic lifestyle and Larry June branding next to a Trefoil. We were a bit disappointed that Larry’s Control 5 colorway never got a full release, but hopefully this pair will see retail shelves.
The Larry June x adidas Rod Laver doesn’t have a release date or retail price yet, but expect more information soon. To keep up with all the latest adidas collab news, download the Sole Retriever App.
