Kith Brings Marvel vs. Capcom to Life in New Asics Footwear Collection

Kith is quite the eclectic fashion label. One week, the NYC retail behemoth founded by Ronnie Fieg will work on high-fashion luxury outerwear, suits, and loafers with Giorgio Armani, and the next, drop a cereal collab or work with Converse on elevated Chuck Taylors. What has become a constant over the last two years is Kith’s footwear collabs with Marvel and Asics, marrying Fieg’s love of Marvel comics and his long-standing relationship with the Japanese footwear brand. Over the weekend, Ronnie teased us with first looks at a new project inspired by the arcade game Marvel vs. Capcom.

Before the weekend, Kith announced that it was working on an arcade cabinet with Arcade1Up, featuring Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Superheroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Superheroes, X-Men: COTA, War of the Gems, and X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. On top of that, the label showcased a Capcom Edited Super Pocket containing twelve pre-loaded games: 1943 Battle of the Midway, 1944 Loop Master, Bionic Commando, Captain Commando, Final Fight, Forgotten Worlds, Ghouls ’n Ghosts, Wolf of the Battlefield, Street Fighter II, Strider, and a console version of Mega Man.

However, the clear highlight of Marvel’s latest Kith team-up is the Asics footwear project. The only image of the actual sneakers seen thus far is a close-up of six different sneakers themed after characters from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Front and center is an Iron Man-inspired Gel-Nimbus 10.1, with a clear nod to Mega Man found on another Gel-Nimbus 10.1. The packaging shared by Fieg in his Instagram broadcast channel contains images of Captain America, Iron Man, Mega Man, and Guile. Once opened, the box reveals two more heroes, Wolverine and Ryu. Other sneakers seen in the photo, but at this time cannot be assertively assigned to a character, include the Gel-Kayano 12.1 and Gel-Kayano 14.

The Kith x Marvel vs. Capcom x Asics Collection will be released on November 14, 2025 via Kith online and in-store. Based on the packaging, it appears the pairs will be sold in packs similar to last year’s Spider-Man and Venom GT-2160s, but more will be revealed in the coming days.
