Here’s All the Kith x Marvel vs. Capcom Apparel and Accessories Releasing This Week

Let's take it back to 1996. The year was filled with notable moments, from Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls beginning the second three-peat with a win over the SuperSonics to the death of Tupac Shakur and much more. It also marked the very first entry in the long-running Marvel vs. Capcom series, which began with the arcade cabinet X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Today, the series has sold over 12 million units across all installments, and it’s enjoying some renewed attention thanks to Ronnie Fieg and Kith. As part of the ongoing Marvel x Kith collab, Fieg and Co. pay tribute to Marvel vs. Capcom with a new pack of Asics sneakers and an accompanying apparel collection.

We got official looks at the Asics sneakers yesterday, as well as an early access drop for select Kith Loyalty members. Then today, Kith officially unveiled the full capsule of clothing and accessories. There are three parts of this collection, one dedicated to Marvel, another to Capcom, and finally a tri-branded version that combines Kith, Marvel, and Capcom. Of course, faux vintage tees are the highlight of the clothing, with graphics depicting classic Marvel and Capcom heroes and villains as well as various in-game designs.

Alongside the vintage T-shirts, there are crewnecks, rugby long-sleeves, jerseys, hoodies, and other outerwear items that all feature a combination of Kith, Capcom, and/or Marvel designs. Characters include Spider-Man, Thor, Deadpool, Black Panther, Red Hulk, Magneto, and more on the Marvel side. Capcom apparel has nods to Street Fighter characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and M. Bison, as well as Mega Man and Servbot.

For accessories, Kith has teamed up with Modernica for a chair covered in Marvel vs. Capcom graphics. There are also four different Hasbro action figures, including Captain America, Wolverine, Mega Man, and Ryu. Final pieces include mousepads, skatedecks, posters, hats, and tapestry blankets.
