Kith And Asics Elevate The Gel-Lyte III In Two Colorways
PublishedFrom their continued efforts with adidas and New Balance to linking up with BMW, Ronnie Fieg knows how to squeeze lux vibes out of just about any collaboration he and his brand, Kith, put their hands on. Sticking to footwear once again, Fieg took to social media to preview an upcoming collaboration with Asics on the relatively unknown EX-89 silhouette, though the duo isn’t stopping there. Now, we’re getting the first looks at the upcoming Kith x Asics Gel-Lyte III collection courtesy of Ronnie Fieg.
Two relatively simple colorways were shared with each coming in a greyscale-esque colorway accented by vibrant yellow or red (depending on which pair) through the Asics logo on the midfoot. Aside from that, a tonal shade covers the various suede panels found on the mudguard, eyestays, quarter panel, and heel while perforated nubuck lands on the toebox and midfoot panel. Branding details for Kith don’t appear visible through these early photos as we only see the usual Gel-Lyte III text on the heel and Asics logo along the midfoot, though we may see co-branded details appearing on the tongue. Underfoot, a Gel cushioned sole unit gets a white makeover on the yellow-accented pair while the red-accented colorway features a more cream/brown tone on the foam midsole. Rounding out the look is the rubber outsole that borrows the same shade as the midsole and gets a hit of the accenting color on each sneaker.
The Kith x Asics Gel-Lyte III Collection is set to release either at the end of 2022 or early 2023 exclusively through Kith in-store and online. As of this writing, pricing and sizing information is TBA. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
