Kiko Kostadinov has been a major factor in Asics’ modern revival, bringing his design sensibilities to the brand’s archive, resurrecting past models to meet the current moment’s low-profile runner trend. On his latest collab, Kostadinov is taking it back 13 years to a 20-teens silhouette in two new color combos.
Criss-Cross Apple Sauce
The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics US8-S Gel-SJ33 Pack revives the Asics Gel-Super J33 with Kiko’s distinct textural flair, criss-crossing support panels across the upper in a fast-paced picnic blanket pattern. Arriving in two colorways, the pairs both start with brown coffee uppers, adding orange on one and periwinkle on the other.

Starting with a base of herringbone mesh, the orange pair adds a criss-crossing mix of thin lines with maroon moving horizontally and orange moving vertically, with brighter orange on the Asics stripe logo. The periwinkle pair adds a similar brown base and identical upper pattern, with a teal green overlay to match the periwinkle blue sockliner and Asics logo.
