Kith founder Ronnie Fieg has made his appreciation for the Air Max 95 well-known. He didn’t mince his words one bit on his post on X from April 2025: “The Air Max 95 is the greatest designed footwear across all categories. And it's not even close. The single greatest shoe of all time.” This was months before the public had a shot at a few kids’-exclusive colorways of a Kith x Nike Air Max 95 collab, with select friends and family of the brand getting these shoes in adult sizing. Maybe Kevin Durant was on that seeding list, because the Slim Reaper just shared a video on Instagram of a Kith x Nike KD 18 that mimics the iconic Neon Air Max 95.
Durant’s 18th signature sneaker with Nike is about to come to a close, so it’s fitting that one of the last pairs we see before the debut of the 19 later this year is of a remix version in collaboration with Kith. The sneaker replaces the KD 18’s traditional construction with suede and mesh panels identical to those found on the Air Max 95.
Greyscale suede panels on the midfoot come debossed with “Kith” box logo print, a feature found on the retailer’s recent kids Air Max 95 collab, while neon green eyelets pop amongst the black mesh netting. Barely visible in the video is a tag on the reverse of the tongue which reads “Ronnie for Kevin Durant. Not for Sale.” Following this initial video from Durant, Ronnie Fieg posted images of the final version of the sneaker in his Instagram Updates channel.
The Air Max 95 had a big year in 2025, in which the Sergio Lozano-designed Air Max model celebrated its 30th birthday. Collabs galore hit shelves, and the love isn’t stopping in the new year. Plenty of bring-backs are taking place, including a re-release of the ultra-limited “big bubble” version of the Nike Air Max 95 Neon that dropped last year. This time, the Neon 95s will be offered in full family sizing.
As for Kevin Durant’s Kith x Nike KD 18 Air Max 95 Neon… well, the inside tongue tag should be a great indicator of its fate. It’s more than likely just a player-exclusive made for Durant.
