Although the Indiana Fever are sitting in the middle of the pack in the WNBA this season with an 11-8 record, there’s plenty of exciting news coming from the roster on the sneaker front. Caitlin Clark is leading the charge with her final Kobe 6 Protro PE, inspired by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, acting as the prelude to the debut of her signature sneaker, the Nike Caitlin 1. But there’s more on the footwear front for the Fever as Puma has announced they’ve signed Kelsey Mitchell to an endorsement deal that seems to be the start of Tyrese Haliburton’s own sub-brand with the label.

Tyrese Haliburton's Signature Hali Franchise

In a press release announcing Kelsey’s signing, Puma mentions that the partnership with Mitchell is “built upon the vision and support of Tyrese Haliburton to add high-caliber athletes to his signature Hali franchise.” Funny enough, both Mitchell and Haliburton wear number 0 and play for Indianapolis teams, and outside of those stars aligning, the two have built a friendship off the court.

"This partnership felt authentic from the start," said Mitchell. "Puma continues to push basketball culture forward in a creative and meaningful way. Being connected to a brand that values self-expression, performance, and community means a lot to me. Seeing the success Tyrese has had with the Hali shoe from day one, I'm excited to team up with him and Puma to trailblaze the Hali franchise into the women's game."

Tyrese also spoke on the signing, stating, "Kelsey is one of the toughest competitors I know and somebody who has always stayed true to herself. She's earned everything through hard work and consistency, and I'm excited to see the contribution she will make to the Hali franchise as part of the Puma family. The game continues to grow because of players like her."

What's Next for Kelsey Mitchell and Puma?

Does this mean that Tyrese Haliburton’s Puma line will soon host signature athletes similar to Jordan Brand? We can’t answer that now, but Kelsey Mitchell will likely get her own colorways of the Hali 1 in the near future.
