Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks had an impressive run in the 2024 NBA season but ultimately fell short in the Finals against the Boston Celtics and fellow Jordan Brand athlete Jayson Tatum. While Tatum enjoys the spotlight with a new Jordan Brand advertisement celebrating the victory, Dončić is gearing up to launch his third signature sneaker, the Jordan Luka 3. Before the wider global launch of the Photo Finish colorway in July, Finish Line released pairs of the Vapor Green colorway early. Following this, Nike official images emerged of the pair.
Inspired by Luka Dončić's love for high-performance sports cars, the Jordan Luka 3 reflects speed and agility in its design. The engineered textile upper features wavy striations that mimic the visual effects of speeding vehicles. A striking gradient pattern transitions from pink to aqua green along the toe towards the midfoot, adding a dynamic visual appeal. The medial side of the sneaker proudly displays Dončić's jersey number 77, while the lateral side incorporates portions of the Isoplate, extending to the sidewall of the sole and the outsole. Branding is well-executed, with Luka's logo on the right sneaker and the iconic Jumpman on the left, with these logos swapped on the heel. Underfoot, the sneaker is equipped with full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam in green, complemented by a purple, green, and orange generative herringbone rubber outsole, ensuring maximum comfort and traction.
The Jordan Luka 3 Vapor Green is currently available through Finish Line, while a wider launch through Nike and other retailers will take place in the coming weeks.
