Philly is a sports city to its core. From the undefeated Eagles and the playoff-ready Phillies to the constantly rising expectations for Joel Embiid and the 76ers, the City of Brotherly Love lives, dies, and shimmy up greased streetlight poles on Broad Street with its teams. Now, just two blocks from the site of February’s drunken, climbing, street-filling Super Bowl celebration, Jordan Brand is set to open its first U.S. flagship store.
Opening with the help of local Jordan Brand athletes, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and Sixers guard Jarred McCain, the Philly Jordan World of Flight store is smack in the middle of the center city shopping district, housed in a beautiful historic building constructed in the early 1900s, and remade inside as a cathedral to basketball and sneakers.

World of Flight is a direct portal to our brand and represents the pinnacle of basketball culture,” President of Jordan Brand, Sarah Mensah, said. “Opening our first World of Flight door in the United States in Philadelphia, where Michael Jordan played his last game and Jalen Hurts is redefining greatness on the football field, is emblematic of the stories, legacy, and achievements we continue to create and uplift."
The Philly store will be the first stateside flagship for the Jumpman, but it won’t be the last. Jordan has five international World of Flight stores located in Mexico City, Milan, Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo, with plans to expand the premium retail concept across the country in the coming years.
