Michael Jordan’s footwear empire stretches across the entire globe. Retail outposts specifically for Jordan Brand have begun to pop up more frequently in the last few years, with the World of Flight concept spanning Italy, Japan, America, and more. While the US just got its first World of Flight location in Philly last year, Japan is getting its second WoF location in the city of Osaka.
The store is located right near Shinsaibashi Station, and will host its grand opening on May 1, 2026. To celebrate the opening, Jordan Brand will be hosting a workshop with customizable merch available, a photobooth to take pictures, and exclusive World of Flight T-shirts. Those who spend over ¥20,000 will receive a World of Flight Osaka clear pouch with a charm and sticker included.

With this being the second location for the World of Flight concept in Japan, we’re hoping Jordan Brand has plans to break ground on another storefront for the US. As mentioned above, Philadelphia is home to the World of Flight store in the States, so maybe somewhere out West will play host to the second storefront.
The opening was announced just after images of a Japanese-exclusive Sashiko Air Jordan 6 hit the ‘net. We can’t rule out a special release for the sneaker to commemorate the new shop. For updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker and streetwear world, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
