Luka Dončić is in the midst of his first full season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he’s proving to the world why he’s one of the best in the NBA. Right now, he’s averaging 34 points, 8.8 assists, and 8.6 rebounds per game, though just the other night he had to exit early due to a leg contusion. Still, his partners at Jordan Brand are ready to officially unveil his latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Luka 5, with a new campaign titled Bad Luka, Nice Shoes.

Before we talk about the campaign, let’s delve into the sneaker itself. The model continues the low-cut design DNA found on previous Luka sneakers. A newly designed upper on the Luka 5 features an ISOband, an evolution of the IsoPlate from its predecessors, which is used to enhance control on foot. Cushioning is upgraded with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and Cushlon 3.0 foam. Its debut colorway is pictured here in Illusion Green and Black, featuring a two-tone mixture of both colors.

“Working with Jordan Brand on the Luka 5 was about making something that fits my game and keeps evolving with me,” says Dončić. “The full-length Zoom Strobel and ISOband give me that extra pop and control so I can attack from any spot on the floor. Every time I lace them up, I know I’m ready to go.”

The Bad Luka, Nice Shoes campaign celebrates Luka’s unmistakable game, depicting Luka writing cards that go alongside the gift of his new shoes to his frienemies Adrian “Woj” Wojnarowski and Boban Marjanović. While he’s retired from the sports journalism world, Woj was known as one of the most well-connected basketball insiders, breaking the internet with “Woj Bombs” on his X account when he would break news. Boban Marjanović and Luka both played together on the Mavericks, though Marjanović now plays ball overseas in Europe.

The Jordan Luka 5 will officially debut in the pictured Illusion Green colorway on January 8, 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
