Sports history has a couple of notable two-sport professional athletes who succeeded at the highest level in multiple disciplines, namely Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders. In the modern era, one man stands amongst them, LA Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts, who now has four World Series rings and, as an accomplished bowler, a 300 game in PBA competition. Mookie is the man, and with the Dodgers celebrating back-to-back titles after an incredible extra-innings game 7 in Toronto, Jordan Brand is showing out for Betts with a new shirt.
Remixing an 80-year-old blues catch-phrase that Project Pat made his own in 2006 to the front of a black tee in bold red letters, Jordan expresses all of our amazement when watching Betts’ playoff run - Great Googly Mookie. From his time in LA back to his days with the Red Sox, Betts has always been one of baseball’s most exciting superstars, with a knack for the dramatic at the plate and a fielding prowess that extends to every single position on the diamond.
Betts is also one of the biggest sneakerheads in the big leagues, and thanks to his long-running sponsorship deal with Jumpman, Mookie has brought out plenty of exclusive spikes. To name a few, he broke out snakeskin blue Jordan 11 cleats, True Blue 3 cleats, and the best of the 2025 season, a pair of Nigel Slyvester Brick by Brick Jordan 4 cleats gifted to Betts by the BMX god himself.
The Jordan Brand Mookie Betts T-Shirt doesn’t have a release date set yet, but it will be available in men’s sizing for $35, and with the Dodgers parade taking over LA today, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the drop go live this afternoon.
