Jordan Brand Holiday 2022 Preview

Before Jordan Brand beings their rolling out of Air Jordan Retro Footwear releases for Summer 2022, we have a little taste of what's to come from the brand this holiday season. A handful of releases have been confirmed to release between October and December of 2022. Among them is the already announced Air Jordan 11 Retro "Cherry" and Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Reimagined Chicago." While those two pairs are definite must-haves, a few others should make their way onto everyone's cop list, including the highly anticipated return of the Air Jordan 2 Retro "OG."

The Air Jordan 2 Retro "OG" comes in the classic white, varsity red and black color scheme. Last seen in 2018 in a revised "Alumni" edition as a part of the Jordan x Converse Pack, this time around the sneaker will be as true to the original as possible. A pair AJ 2 fans have clamored for, for over ten years, this pair should appease new and old heads alike. It will feature a white-based premium leather upper with red and black accents, "Nike Air" and "Wings" branding and not black piping on the sides. As close to the 1987 release as we can get in 2022, they will even come in OG-style packaging!

For the Air Jordan 1, we can expect to see a new "Gorge Green" edition alongside the "Reimagined Chicago." This new green-based pair mimics the "Bordeaux" AJ 1 released in November of 2021. Sporting an all-leather upper with green overlays and white underlays, finished off by a metallic Silver Swoosh on the sides. In addition, the AJ 1 "Reimagined Chicago" will be the truest to 1985 as we can possibly get. Read more about that pair here. The AJ 4 and AJ 6 make appearances in new colorways for Holiday 2022. The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Navy" features a white-based leather upper with navy blue and black accents while the Air Jordan 6 Retro swaps metallic gold accents for metallic silver, flipping the script on the modern-day classic "DMP."

As we also celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 7 in 2022, another new colorway will be released. While details have yet to be announced, it will come in a "30th Anniversary" theme. For Christmas, the annual Air Jordan 11 Retro release will continue on in the form of a high-top "Cherry" edition. More on that pair can be found here. Rounding out the collection so far is a UNC-themed Air Jordan 13 Retro, sporting a black-based upper with university blue accents.
