Jordan Brand has been celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Jordan 1 all year, and the Jumpman team isn’t done yet. With winter hot on our heels, a new weather-ready Jordan 1 Low Element Gore-Tex is on the horizon, adding a bulbous all-terrain sole and hiking flair to the classic silhouette.

Debuting in grey, olive, and black colorways, the Jordan 1 Low Element Gore-Tex takes a classic Jordan 1 and grafts on as many hiking boot attributes as possible. Starting with the massive, ultra-textured sole, the hiking shoe is covered with individual lugs for extra grip that remind us of mud-running shoes from Salomon. The upper is covered in Gore-Tex panels to protect from the elements, with nylon fabric on the toebox and side panels for even more weatherproofing. A foot-securing inner-shoe bootie sits beneath a traditional lacing system, with a classic Jordan 1 tongue and laces on top for aesthetic purposes. Extra pull-tabs are added on the tongue and heel, and of course, the shoe is finished with hiking laces.

Nike has been a fan of Gore-Tex for years and has added the weatherproof fabric to Jordan 1 High colorways in the past, but the complete hiking remodel is a new look for 1s. Jordan Brand already has a stranglehold on formal events with patent leather classics, and they brought out the City Boot this season for people who don’t want to switch out of Js in urban winters, so with this Gore-Tex hiking addition, it feels like Jumpman picked up the final all-occasion Infinity Stone.

The debut colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low Element Gore-Tex will be released Holiday 2025 through Jordan and select retailers in-store and online.
