It wasn’t that long ago that athletes held the dominant position in the sneaker endorsement space, but that’s all changed over the last 10-plus years. Today, kids would rather see their favorite music artist with a sneaker collab than an athlete going out and breaking records, and this couldn’t be truer for the K-pop world. Fans are rabid and ready to support their favorite artists with their dying breath, and brands are finally starting to notice. The latest from the K-pop realm is a new collab with BLACKPINK’s JENNIE and adidas.

JENNIE x adidas Superstar Square Toe Pack

After taking part in adidas’ Superstar campaign at the start of the year, JENNIE didn’t take that long to prep her very own spin on the model. She crafted two colorways of a square-toed ballet version of the Shell Toe… er, should we say square toe, with one coming in a clean black and white combo and the other inverting the color blocking for a white and black look. Both pairs feature ballet construction, so gone are the tongues and laces in place of an elastic band that secures your foot in place. Technically, there is a lace near the vamp, but the leather laces are decorative and serve no actual use.

The only hit of JENNIE branding comes on the insole, which features a woven co-branded Trefoil and JENNIE tag. The rest of the shoe features the traditional Three Stripes on the midfoot, rendered in contrasting shades across both colorways, while “Superstar” text appears behind the last of the Three Stripes in a tonal shade that almost blends in. Finishing the shoe is a midsole that matches the titular shade on each colorway.

The JENNIE x adidas Superstar Square Toe Ballet Pack will be released September 1, 2026 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store.
