While adidas has teamed up with the skate branding Fucking Awesome (FA) in the past, the German sportswear giant is looking to its founder and adidas Teamrider, Jason Dill, for its latest collaborative project. Tackling the ever-popular adidas Samba, Dill brings us a clean black/white rendition with co-branded details.
Adding a soft full-grain leather to the silhouette, Dill keeps things simple as he dresses his collaborative adidas Samba in a combination of cloud white, core black, and gold metallic. Most of the silhouette gets covered in white full-grain leather, as seen on the various overlays and underlays, while black accents hit the Three Stripes logo and the back heel tab. Tonal white laces match the tongue and eyestays with the tag above, forgoing adidas’ usual branding in favor of a metallic gold “Dill” logo. Underfoot sits a first for the Samba, a semi-translucent clear sole unit that finishes Jason’s design.
The Jason Dill x adidas Samba will be released on April 1st, 2023, through adidas Confirmed and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
