While most skaters and sneakerheads prefer the offerings from Nike SB, adidas Skateboarding has sleeper hits in their lineup of silhouettes. Though collaborations with HUMAN MADE on the Adimatic and Kader Sylla on the Superstar ADV have stuck with inline releases, Fucking Awesome has had the privilege of creating their own silhouettes that don’t sacrifice on function or form. Alongside the upcoming FA x adidas Experiment 1, the two brands introduce an all-black Experiment 2 to their offerings.
Unlike the outdoor-inspired Experiment 1, the second iteration of this model gets completely dressed in premium tumbled leather. To create depth to the monochromatic black look, the silhouette features various overlays reminiscent of a retro skate shoe, also aided by the perforated leather along the midfoot panel. Black cotton laces run up the tongue to the “FA” branded tongue tag in white, host to a slew of national flags. Also breaking up the monochromatic look is the golden adidas Trefoil branding on the heel as well as the burgundy corduroy insole. Finishing off the skate-ready sneaker is the black-on-black rubber midsole and outsole.
The Fucking Awesome x adidas Experiment 2 Triple Black is slated to release on August 13th, 2022 through adidas and select skate shops online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
