The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their first loss this season, ending their 4-0 start and winning streak of 10 games that dated back to week 17 of the 2024 season. Jalen Hurts, Jordan Brand athlete and one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, propelled the team to its Super Bowl victory and has been the de facto leader of the Eagles since becoming the starter in 2020. While he’s always rocking some special heat on the field, whether that be the mismatched Air Jordan 11 cleats that earned him a $5,000 fine or special Air Jordan 1s in Eagles-friendly green, Hurts also loves to wear Jordan Brand sneakers off the gridiron.

Hurts was tapped to debut the sneaker near the beginning of the season, wearing the University Red colorway when reporting for Eagles training camp. Since then, Jordan Brand has used him in marketing efforts for the upcoming mesh runner, posting on Instagram with Hurts in an airplane rocking the Phantom colorway.
The Jordan Trunner O/S, which stands for Off-Season, builds on the DNA of the original Jordan Trunner series that dates to the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Essentially, Jordan Brand wanted to branch out to other sectors of the sporting world, creating the hybrid training and running series with the help of original Team Jordan athletes Roy Jones Jr., Randy Moss, Derek Jeter, and more. A variety of different models hit shelves over the years, but the new Trunner O/S leans into the modern trend of mesh runners and comfort-focused designs.
Design details obviously lean into the mesh runner trend, but focus on ‘90s Team Jordan models like the Jumpman Pro 1 and the 2000s Trunners like the Air Jordan Trunner. The breathable and flexible mesh textiles land alongside suede and a molded TPU plastic midfoot cage, which is directly taken from the Jumpman Pro 1 model. A comfort collar and padded tongue offer a cushioned on-foot experience for all-day wear and allow for an easy on/off experience.
While all this sounds great, you want to know if it's comfortable underfoot, right? Well, the short answer is yes, it’s one of the most comfortable models Jordan Brand has to offer. The midsole features sculpted Cushlon 3.0 foam, used in a variety of Jordan Brand’s top performance models. The best of all is that it’s not going to break the bank, with the Trunner O/S retailing for just $115, making it significantly less expensive than competitors in the same market.
