LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT: NFL Week 5’s Best Tunnel Fits
Published
All that’s left is Monday Night Football, and we’ll be on to week 6 of the NFL’s 2025 regular season. Things have played out just about as you’d expect, though there have been some wild endings to games across the first month-plus of the National Football League. Just look at Sunday’s Titans vs. Cardinals match-up. Tennessee was trailing Arizona by nine points with around 5 minutes left on the clock. After an interception that turned into a fumble that then turned into a mess of players mishandling the ball and eventually resulted in the Titans scoring a touchdown, the momentum shifted for the Titans to take the dub on a last-second field goal.
We could sit around and analyze games from around the league all day, but we’re here to discuss the heat on-feet of players before they hit the gridiron. Welcome to week 5 of Sole Retriever’s LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT series, where we list our starting 11 of NFL tunnel fits. You can find even more over on the Sole Retriever Instagram, as well as a list of the best cleats of the week.
Damontae Kazee

Cleveland Browns safety Damontae Kazee hasn’t played yet during the 2025 season, but he sure made us pay attention to him in the tunnel heading into the team’s matchup against the Vikings in London. Kazee was spotted wearing a classic and a personal favorite of this author, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred.
Derrick Henry

While his stats this season aren’t where fantasy owners would like them to be, Derrick Henry has still been a rock for the Baltimore Ravens to lean on. One of the all-time best RBs in league history entered the stadium to play the Texans wearing Drake’s NOCTA Hot Step 2. It’s hard to tell from the lighting, but it’s either the Rattan or the Triple White colorway.
Donovan Ezeiruaku

While your friend who’s a diehard Cowboys fan continues to swear THIS year will be the year, it’s not looking great for America’s team. They’re 2-2 to start the season, and their defense needs some improvements, though Donovan Ezeiruaku has been doing his part. The defensive end was spotted wearing one of Virgil’s best designs for Jordan Brand, the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 Retro.
Drew Ogletree

The Indianapolis Colts ran away with the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, stomping them 40-6. And while Drew Ogletree didn’t get to make an impact on the field, he definitely made a statement ahead of the matchup. He was spotted with the Air Jordan 14 Retro Laney on his feet, which ended up in our Top Jordan 14 list.
Elijah Moore

Elijah Moore didn’t get any action in the Buffalo Bills' loss to the Patriots, but he did make our list of best tunnel fits for week 5 of the NFL season. Moore laced up a pair of the Diamond Supply Co x Nike SB Dunk Low Black Diamond, a follow-up to the original Diamond Supply SB Dunk from 2005 that has gone down as one of the most sought-after SB collabs of all time.
Geno Smith

After having a comeback year in 2022 with the Seattle Seahawks, veteran QB Geno Smith hasn’t been great for the Las Vegas Raiders. So far in the 2025 season, he leads the league with nine interceptions, including two in last night’s 40-6 loss to Indianapolis. Still, you have to respect any old-school high-top Nike SB Dunk, especially the iconic Papa Bear colorway.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Little Bill, or should we say Jacory Croskey-Merritt, has been a sleeper hit for the Washington Commanders. The running back was drafted in the seventh round as the 245th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he earned a starting spot in the preseason. Ahead of his best game yet, which included two touchdowns and 111 yards on 14 carries, Bill was wearing the recent retro of the Cough Drop Nike Air Foamposite One.
Jahmyr Gibbs

Although he failed to score a touchdown in yesterday’s game, Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has been a solid option for the team. He’s got four TDs on the season and 325 total yards, but as we said at the top of this list, we’re more focused on the footwear choices of these players. Gibbs entered the stadium in the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low Lemonade.
Jalen Hurts

The premier athlete from Jordan Brand’s NFL roster, Jalen Hurts continues to rock the Jumpman on and off the gridiron. Jordan has leaned on Hurts to help promote the upcoming Jordan Trunner O/S, which he helped debut in the University Red colorway ahead of the NFL season. Before the Philadelphia Eagles’ first loss of the 2025 season, Hurts was wearing the Phantom colorway of the silhouette, which releases later this week for $115.
Jayden Daniels

A Nike athlete through and through, Jayden Daniels is often rocking Nike Kobe cleats when taking the field as the quarterback of the Washington Commanders. However, off it, he’s been known to delve into the world of luxury. In the lead-up to his first game back since his sprained knee two weeks back, Daniels entered the stadium in a brown suede pair of the Louis Vuitton LV Trainer.
Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray definitely had the most blooper reel moment of Sunday’s NFL games when he completely missed the snap and allowed the football to bounce off his helmet. This led to a turnover and Murray leaving the game, but before this gag, he made a statement rocking the ultra-rare Chocolate Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low that was released last year to celebrate the skate company’s 30th birthday.
