Ice Studios Goes Even Greyer on Second Pair of Timberland Boots

The Timberland boot is New York City’s footwear of choice for at least half the year, every year. As soon as the weather drops below 70, you’ll start seeing butters and beef & broccolis everywhere you look, whether there’s snow on the ground or not. Creative collective-turned fashion label Ice Studios was founded by New Yorker Renell Medrano, and for Medrano, a new two-pack of Timb boots is both a dream come true and a lifetime in the making.
We saw the first pair of Ice Studios x Timberland 6-inch boots earlier this month, and the second pair follows suit. Covered in monochrome grey waterproof suede, the second pair, a friends and family exclusive, is a slightly darker shade of grey than the first, but matches in every other aspect, down to the icy blue sole and Ice Studios branding. In her approach to the collaboration, Medrano noted that she wanted to bring a touch of feminine energy to the iconic silhouette to represent the love all New Yorkers share for the shoe.

"Growing up in the Bronx, Timberland has always been a fundamental part of my wardrobe, and this collaboration is something I’ve always dreamt of,” said Renell Medrano, founder of Ice Studios. “I'm thrilled to finally share it with the world, especially from a female perspective. It's important to highlight how women wear Timberland, as the brand has played a significant role in New York culture, often being male-driven. I'm excited to showcase the strength and style of women through this iconic brand."
The Ice Studios x Timberland 6-Inch Boot Dark Grey is a F&F exclusive for Medrano’s crew, but the light grey pair is still set to release to the public September 2, 2025.
