Grace Ladoja’s Homecoming Festival has been instrumental in bringing focus to Lagos, Nigeria’s creative culture for nearly a decade. From fashion and sneakers to music, art, sport, dance, community, and more, the Homecoming Festival has become a beacon for culture across the globe. This year, Nike has joined the effort with a full-fledged collab, turning over the Air Max Plus to Ladoja for a two-colorway collab inspired by Lagos, London, and the festival.

Both shoes feature a plasticy coating overlaid on top of the upper, multiple pairs of multi-color rope laces weaving between each other, and co-branded Homecoming x Nike charms, one in a circle and the other in the shape of Africa. In an editorial campaign for the shoe, Ladoja and Nike took the shoes around Lagos, incorporating the collab into local culture.
