A Hidden NY x Asics Gel-Kinetic 2.0 Randomly Popped up at an Asics Store

Ummm, I don’t think they were supposed to sell you those.

We’ve seen plenty of unique collab rollouts through the years, but a sportswear brand randomly selling a collab pair that has never been seen before sounds more like an honest mistake than a go-to-market plan to us.

In the r/asics Reddit forum, user @sharkisyodaddy accidentally broke sneaker news this week, posting photos of a Hidden NY collab pair of Asics Gel-Kinetic 2.0 that he said he purchased from an Asics store. The problem? That pair has never been seen before.

Hidden NY is in the middle of rolling out its first BAPE collab, and hasn’t dropped an Asics partnership since the Dusk and Dawn Gel-DS Trainer 14s dropped late last year. On the Gel-Kinetic 2.0 pair, Hidden starts with a simple white, grey, and silver mesh and synthetic upper, adding its classic green shade to the toe, tongue accents, heel panel, and outsole, and mixing in some light purple and blue on the midsole.

As of now, details are incredibly sparse on the Hidden NY x Asics Gel-Kinetic 2.0 collab (there is no info; this pair isn’t supposed to exist yet), but now that the cat’s out of the bag, we may get more details soon.
