The early months of this year have already seen a handful of sneaker collaborations vie for the most sought-after spot, but when it comes to storytelling, continued partnership, and a genuine connection between sports and streetwear, the tie between Hellstar, adidas, and Anthony Edwards is fighting for the top spot.

After previewing a collab on the adidas Superstar last year as part of The Three Stripes’ renewed push into the classic Shell Toe, LA streetwear brand Hellstar ramped things up for All-Star Weekend on their home turf, teaming up with the German sportswear giant for a desert camo collab on the Superstar, AE 2, and matching clothing capsule, with a second, ultra-limited colorway of Ant’s signature shoe popping up on the man himself.

Now, with All-Star behind us and the NBA playoff push in full swing, the Hellstar gang is back with another new pair of Superstars, and they waited until Ant came back to town to break them out. Seen courtside in a new pair of Hellstar x adidas Superstar II decked out in a monochrome orange colorway, Hellstar owners Seanie and Juice both put on the new pair to watch Edwards and the T-Wolves fall short against the hometown Lakers.
