Just keep climbing.

Publisher, archivist, and social media staple Hartcopy is dedicated to documenting and presenting the world of sneakers and streetwear culture as a meticulously detailed, carefully curated art piece on Instagram, its limited book releases, and its past sneaker collaboration work. In its second partnership with adidas, though, Hartcopy is taking a louder approach, adding an all-over polka dot playfulness to the Adizero Evo SL.

The colorway is a direct reference to the Tour De France, where the race's leader in the best climber category receives a jersey covered in red polka dots. It starts with a white mesh base and black Three Stripes logos on the medial side panels. From there, the shoe is given a severe case of chicken pox, with large red polka dots placed across the entire shoe from midsole to tongue. Collab branding is added with a Hartcopy logo on the lateral side heel, plus the brand’s zig-zag red line spellcheck mark logo featured on the Adizero label in the middle of the tongue and across the entire outsole.

A year ago to the month, Hartcopy and adidas launched their first collab, a clean white colorway of the BW Army with subtle spellcheck logo branding on the lace panel and insole. This time around, Hartcopy’s Sam Le Roy took to Instagram to thank the team at adidas for letting them go a little goofier on the performance runner. “These are fun runners, like they used to make,” Le Roy wrote.

So far, we’ve only seen a few quick previews of the Hartcopy x adidas Adizero Evo SL, so we don’t have a release date or retail price just yet.
