The first half of the year has seen a barrage of collabs from across the sneaker industry, but if you had to pick the best of the bunch, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design would certainly be near the top. Kicking off the year with a triple-collab in partnership with Union LA and Jordan Brand, the hype continued with a Book 2 and a fragment x Nike Mind Collection. Now, the Japanese icon is back with the Beaverton squad for another collab on a classic colorway crafted for the kids.

A Collab for the Kids

The fragment x Nike Air Force 1 Low (GS) is the latest in a strong run of AF1s and fragment collabs. Starting with a classic white-on-white leather base, the youth-exclusive adds a velcro strap across the top of the tongue for parental ease. As anyone who’s ever tried to get a kid in and out of lace-up sneakers knows…yeah, they need velcro.

A fragment design double lightning bolt logo is added in a circle at the lateral heel, and a co-branded design is added on the insoles. Otherwise, though, the single preview image posted by Hiroshi and fragment leaves some angles unseen for the time being.
