Combining both of Kobe Bryant’s jersey numbers into one day, the late August date has become an unofficial Kobe holiday, with hoopers and brands alike celebrating the Mamba.

At resale giant Flight Club, the team is celebrating Kobe with a six pair Nike Kobe drawing at three of the secondary shop’s retail locations in LA, NYC, and Miami. At all three locations, fans will be eligible to hit for retail pairs of the Kobe 5 Protro Dodgers, Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers, and Kobe 8 Protro Year of the Horse, plus one lucky winner who will walk away with a pair of Kobe 1 Protro 81 Points for just $8.24.

Beyond the pairs that will hit all three locations, each shop will get one exclusive addition to the drawing with a theme connected to the individual city. In NYC, a Kobe 5 Protro NY vs. NY Jalen Brunson PE will be available for retail, while LA will get a Fade to Black Kobe 8, and Miami Kobe fans get a shot at a Think Pink Kobe 6.

The Flight Club Nike Kobe Collection Drawing will begin on August 12, 2026, with sign-up opportunities in-store and online. Winners will be contacted via email on August 21, 2026, with in-store pick-up for the pairs beginning on Kobe Day, August 24, 2026.
