This year marks the 30th anniversary of the 95-96 University of Kentucky basketball team’s NCAA Championship. Tony Delk and Antoine Walker led a stacked Wildcats team that would go on to have 9 players make it to the NBA. That squad of “Untouchables” torched opposing teams and cruised to a 34-2 record, all while donning denim-colored uniforms.
Those stone-washed uniforms have made a comeback this season and former Kentucky guard Devin Booker even has a denim colorway of his Nike Book 2 dedicated to the legendary title run. Converse, the team’s sponsor at the time, is celebrating the anniversary by bringing back the Converse CONS Blue sneaker worn by The Untouchables team for the first time in three decades.
Now, it looks like famed designer Eric Emanuel is joining the celebration with a denim Converse collection that includes the Converse Chuck High and the Converse Weapon Low. Last year, Emanuel and Converse collaborated on a collection of Chucks and now the pair look to continue those efforts.
The Chuck High is constructed with a dark blue denim upper, while a large Eric Emanuel logo stands front and center, woven into the silhouette’s fabric on the lateral sides. The medial side features the Chuck’s standard All-Star badge. Hints of a lighter denim wash pop up on the sneaker’s heel strip and tongue which also features Converse and Eric Emanuel co-branding.
Much like the Chuck Taylor before it, the Converse Weapon Low was the basketball shoe of the early 1980s. Legends like Dr. J, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird all performed otherworldly feats in the silhouette on the way to cementing their name in the record books. Emanuel takes this storied sneaker and gives it a more reserved denim look than on the Chuck.
The Weapon Low features a white leather upper and an aged midsole, giving the shoe a vintage look. Hits of denim appear on the star chevron logo, as well as the heel and ankle underlays. A matching light blue Eric Emanuel and Converse-branded tongue and outsole complete the look.
The Eric Emanuel x Converse Denim Pack is set to release on February 26, 2026, via Converse and select retailers. A retail price for the Eric Emanuel X Converse Denim pack has yet to be announced. For all Converse updates, download the Sole Retriever App.
