The path to superstardom has a few different routes, but in a star-heavy league, it doesn’t help to put on a show in the NBA Finals during your rookie season. The San Antonio Spurs fell short of a ring in June, but beyond the scoreboard, it became abundantly clear over five games of high-pressure hoops that Dylan Harper is a star in the making.

Dylan Harper Tapped for New Silhouette Debut

Heading into his second season with the Spurs, Harper doesn’t have a signature sneaker in the works like his stilted teammate Victor Wembanyama, but he’s already got more PEs than more vets. Now, with the offseason vacation over and NBA players all heading back to the gym, Harper popped out in a new Nike Basketball silhouette that we’ve never seen before.

After a handful of GT Cut 1 PE pairs, Harper’s workout shoe is a brand new silhouette from the GT line that doesn’t have a name yet. Featuring a two-tone mix with silver on the upper and black on the outsole and sockliner, the new GT model features an armored texture on the sleek upper, with textured accents rising across the lateral side panel in a rising sun shape and diagonally across the medial panel like gills. Finally, a shiny silver Swoosh keeps things restricted to the back half of the shoe, stopping short as it extends out of the heel.

Nike’s Latest GT Creation

So far, we’ve only seen the new silhouette in an on-foot look from Harper’s recent workout, but we’re guessing that was strategic from Nike, and we’ll see more from the new GT model soon. To keep up with all the latest Nike Basketball news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
