When Nike introduced one of their latest performance basketball silhouettes, the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut 2, Suns star Devin Booker was announced as one of the faces of the silhouette (alongside Sabrina Ionescu.) Since then, he is often spotted on the court making highlight plays in the model. Despite Devin Booker's upcoming Nike Book 1 signature silhouette set to drop soon, The Swoosh has allowed Booker to create his own colorway on the Zoom GT Cut 2 with the upcoming “The Hike” colorway.
Following up on his Americana-inspired Converse Chuck Taylor collab, Booker brings an outdoor aesthetic to this performance basketball silhouette. Across the upper, we see mica green take over with medium olive and orange accents. Branding details along the midfoot, seen via the Swoosh, are done in medium olive with orange stitching details for added contrast. Maintaining its engineered mesh upper, mica green and medium olive hits shine thanks to the woven semi-translucent TPU. The tongue also boasts hits of mica green, with the "BOOK" and "Keep It Tight" split between the right and left shoes, respectively. The sneaker retains its basketball-ready midsole, cushioning system, and grippy rubber outsole. A special "GT Book" hangtag adds the finishing touch.
The Devin Booker x Nike Air Zoom GT Cut 2 The Hike is set to release on May 4th, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The shoe will come in men's sizing with a retail price of $170.
