If you haven’t noticed at this point, the collectibles game is going nuclear, specifically the card space. Basketball, football, Pokémon, you name it, prices have skyrocketed across the board for pieces of cardboard that may or may not come with the signature of a professional athlete. With the increased attention on the hobby, it makes sense that people want in on the action, including Cooper Flagg, who is opening up his own card shop in Bangor, Maine.
Flagg Trading Co. Info
Cooper Flagg’s trading card business, dubbed Flagg Trading Co., first appeared on Instagram back in June, announcing the opening of the store. Doing some digging, it appears he went into business with a family member named Tyler Flagg to open the store.
Another Instagram post showcases a collection of different Cooper Flagg cards as well as various trading cards, from Pokémon to One Piece, hockey, football, and more, so don’t think you’ll only find NBA cards at the store.
Cooper Flagg’s Topps Rooke Debut Card Saga
In the last few weeks, one card has gained major attention: Cooper Flagg’s Topps Rookie Debut Patch, which features his NBA Debut patch alongside his autograph. The 1-of-1 card even had the Dallas Mavericks coming out to make, in our opinion, a pretty measly offer.
Their bounty for the card included two season tickets for 32 years, a game-worn and signed rookie jersey from Flagg, a post-game photo with Cooper, a private photo with the Rookie of the Year and the Larry O’Brien trophy, a VIP tour of the Mavs practice facility with a team meet-and-greet, a private basketball experience for up to 10 guests at the Mavs arena, and a road trip experience to watch the Mavs play the Celtics.
That’s a ton and seems pretty fair if you’re a die-hard Mavericks fan, but estimates are putting the card above $1 million at the minimum, so as far as monetary value is concerned, getting the cash is definitely the move. And the man who pulled Coop's card is cashing in by putting it up for auction via Fanatics Collect’s September Premier Auction.
When Does Flagg Trading Co. Open?
Cooper Flagg’s trading card business, Flagg Trading Co., is expected to open on September 12, 2026 in downtown Bangor, Maine. Maybe Flagg will stop by to break some packs ahead of the upcoming NBA season. For more updates on the latest happenings, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
