Most Valuable Python: the Converse Shai 001 Slithers into the Conference Finals in Snakeskin

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is heading into the Western Conference Finals in rare air. The OKC Thunder star was named the regular season MVP for the second season in a row over the weekend, joining a very short list of back-to-back trophy winners, and giving him a new push heading into the start of the series against the Spurs tonight. In addition to showering his teammates with gifts, Shai’s MVP celebration is adding a new Converse Shai 001 colorway to the mix in luxurious fashion.

Once again taking cues from SGA’s love for high-fashion, the Converse Shai 001 Premium Slither is covered in a tan and black snakeskin print across the entire upper. Just like a pair of snakeskin boots, the colorway features a soft, slightly shiny coating on the reptilian print that extends across the toe, side panels, onto the heel, and the hidden tongue.

There’s a Snake in My Boots

While SGA and the Thunder were coiled up in wait for Wemby and the Spurs, Converse was waiting alongside them, adding the caption “Cold by nature, calm by design” to photos of the new pair. Beyond the snake print, the colorway adds tan brown shades to the zipper and the outsole with a tonal SGA logo on the tongue.

Converse Shai 001 Premium Slither Release Details
