For Nike SB, their collaborative efforts span far and wide. Releases with brands like Ben & Jerry’s or the upcoming Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low showcase their ability to bring themes from their collaborator to life. One frequent partner, the Boston-based retailer Concepts, is set to expand their “Lobster” series with an “Orange” iteration hitting shelves this fall, though they’ve got more in store for F&F of the brand. Recently revealed by jfgrail on Instagram, the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “White Lobster” mimics the rarest lobster in the wild.
This early image posted doesn’t showcase the whole shoe, though we do get an idea of what the whole shoe will look like based on previous releases. Splatter designs on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay add to the lobster theme on top of the band across the toebox - mimicking the bands used to prevent lobsters from using their claws after they’re caught. White-on-white shades land on the tongue and lace set with a silver accent landing on the Nike Swoosh. Like past “Lobster” pairs, the sockliner gets a flannel-like design that brings picnic table vibes, though this time it comes in shades of white. For the insole, expect co-branded details between both Concepts and Nike SB on the Zoom Air-cushioned foam insert. Rounding out the design is a white Dunk midsole paired with an icy blue semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low White Lobster will remain exclusive to F&F of Concepts, though a release for Concepts NFT holders could be a possibility. Accordingt to a source close to Concepts, there were less than 500 pairs made.
