Ballet dancers are dominating the fashion influence in women’s sneakers lately, and a new collection of adidas Taekwondos is bringing together two of adidas' most celebrated collaborators, Caroline Hu and Edison Chen’s CLOT, to add more pirouette-ready pairs to the rotation. Hu got her big break with adidas thanks to a Chen co-sign, leading to her Samba collection in May 2024, a pack of ornate sneakers at the top of 2025, and a pack of satin Sambas in May 2025.

The Caroline Hu x CLOT x adidas Taekwondo pack is a three-way partnership on three pairs of slim sneakers with the tongues replaced by ballet slipper-style elastic forefoot straps. Dropping in pink, white, and black, the sleek shoe is covered in patent leather across the upper. The black pair is monochrome, but the pink pair features silver stripes, and the white pair adds silver stripes, a blue strap, and a gum sole. The shoes feature minimal branding for a triple collab, with Three Stripes on the sides and a Trefoil on the heel tab, a CLOT logo on the heel of the medial midsole, and Caroline Hu, CLOT, and adidas branding on the insole.

This isn’t the first time the Taekwondo has gotten a balletcore remake, with an atmos Pink colorway adding a forefoot lace bow on top of the Velcro tongue. Hu added a pack of bowed adidas last year, and the lacey trend has continued this year with the Samba Jane and Bad Bunny’s Ballernia. Across the industry, Nike joined the trend with a new KNWLS collab and an ankle-laced Air Rift, and Puma got in on it with a ballet-themed Speetcat collection.

The Caroline Hu x CLOT x adidas Taekwando pack will be released October 2025 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD.
