Nike and KNWLS Debut Air Max Muse Ballet Silhouette

The balletcore trend taking over women’s footwear just got another major boost. A new partnership between the London-based fashion brand KNWLS and Nike brings us an all-new en pointe silhouette, giving a futuristic, almost robotic makeover to the ballet slipper shape.

Debuting in official Nike product photos for the KWNLS x Nike clothing collection, the Air Max Muse Ballet takes the chunky Air Max Muse silhouette and manages to streamline the aesthetic without losing the bulk. As for the color palette, KNWLS applies an Elemental Pink, Flat Spin, and Black makeover to the new model. The most noticeable feature is the high-pointed toe sticking straight up, with a metallic toecap bringing even more attention to the raised front.

The rest of the upper gets a quilted look that creates soft, puffy features, and a low-cut shape with ballet slipper-style laces wrapping around the entirety of the upper. The split sole is slimmer up front but chunkier in the heel, where an Air Max unit adds the kind of visible cushion and comfort that most ballet slippers can’t provide.

Nike and adidas have both brought a ballet theme to their women’s catalog this year, with Nike bringing out a laced-ankle Air Rift and Puma adding the same dancer design language to the Speedcat. In addition to the new Air Max Muse Ballet, the debut KNWLS collab collection will feature a clothing line consisting of tops, pants, a jacket, and a waffle-print handbag.

The KNWLS x Nike Air Max Muse Ballet will be released Holiday 2025 through KNWLS, Nike, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.
