The LA-based streetwear label Born X Raised is teaming up with Nike SB to release an SB Dunk come 2023.
Over the last 20 years, Nike SB has helped create some of the most sought-after sneakers in the game with many of them being ultra-limited collaborations through the likes of Supreme, Jeff Staple, and countless more. Heading into the new year, Nike SB is poised for a slew of collaborations outside of the skating world as we have seen Jarritos and Run The Jewels receive their very own SB Dunk colorways. Joining the list of SB partners, LA-based streetwear label Born X Raised will be receiving a Nike SB Dunk collaboration in the Summer of 2023.
Taking on a colorway reminiscent of the LA Dodgers, Born X Raised brings its hometown to life through this color palette and additional details nodding to the labels message like the "One Block At A Time" message split between the two mudguards. On the toebox, quarter panel, and collar sits white tumbled leather with the former of the three receiving a makeover in terms of its perforations. Tonal blue laces run up the tongue and feature branding hits for Born X Raised similar to that found on the redesigned "Born SB" tongue tag up above. Just like the toebox, the top two eyestays on the heel overlay comes with a crosshair-like design. For its Swoosh branding, a lenticular print gives the Swoosh a varying appearance based on the angle you're looking at it just like the heel tab's co-branded Born X Raised and Nike SB logos. Rounding out the upper is the embroidered graphic on the lateral heel while the white Dunk midsole that features an added detail stating "On The Turf" and the semi-translucent rubber outsole with Born SB branding completes the entire design.
The Born X Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to release in Summer 2023 through Nike SB skate shops online and in-store and a possible Born X Raised and/or Nike SNKRS release. As of this writing, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
