ON Running has been making waves in the performance and casual footwear space, though their silhouettes may not have caught on in the hardcore sneakerhead world. Seemingly trying to enter this “hype” space, the Swiss-based brand has recently teamed up with the likes of Kith to produce a limited Roger Federer x Ronnie Feig collaboration and now is linking up with the Boston-based retailer Bodega. For this link-up, ON created an exclusive colorway of the On Cloudnova Z5 in “Fermented Burgundy” for Bodega to launch.
Tackling the theme of timelessness, the upper gets dyed in an imperfect fashion that creates a weathered look right out of the gate, accented by a perforated white tongue and black fused overlays throughout. Branding details typically found on the model remain with the ON logo plastered alongside the midfoot, toebox, and across the tongue, all in black fused plastics while a web of this same material sprawls throughout the midfoot and vamp. The performance details aren’t sacrificed either as a black Cloudtec midsole with cutouts throughout the design creates a comfortable ride for all-day use. Rounding out the design is the speckled rubber outsole with gum hits on the toe and white featured back on the heel.
The On Cloudnova Z5 Fermented Burgundy will release exclusively through Bodega on September 16th, 2022 online and in-store. Releasing in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
