With his keen eye for collaborations, designs, and color palettes, Ronnie Fieg has made a name for himself in the fashion industry, both individually and through his Kith label. As someone with friends throughout the upper echelon, it's no surprise that Fieg and tennis superstar Roger Federer has formed a connection since their first meeting in 2017. While Federer originally was signed with Nike, he ditched The Swoosh in favor of On Running and has since co-created three signature silhouettes. Now with the Ronnie Fieg factor, both RFs are joining forces to create two On Running silhouettes, the lifestyle-focused “THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid” designed by Federer and “THE ROGER Pro,” designed by Fieg which will be launching in a two-pack together.
For the lifestyle Clubhouse Mid, the silhouette gets covered in an all-white vegan leather upper with a red clay finish making the sneaker appear pre-worn on a clay tennis court. Various panels and stitching details create a lux appearance with branding details visible through the debossed “On” logo, Roger’s signature in black, and “The Roger” text all appearing on the lateral side of the collar. Staying sustainable, the model also features recycled polyester fabric on the mesh sockliner and collar. Co-branding details come via the Underfoot, as the midsole features CloudTec cushioning alongside Zero Gravity foam to create ultimate comfort and performance.
As for the Pro model, the all-white vegan leather is also present, though included in the packaging will be a bag of red clay to allow you to customize the pre-worn look to your liking. Perforated leather details make up the toebox region while an R2 logo and a Unisphere sculpture nod to the duo’s collaboration and Feig’s hometown of Queens, NY. On the tongue, a leather tag hosts both RF's names alongside Kith branding, also present near the collar next to a Swiss flag. Coming designed by Fieg, and unlike the Clubhouse Mid, his signature replaces Federer’s on the lateral side of the collar. Underfoot, the Zero Gravity foam midsole and Speedboard shank create a comfortable, yet responsive ride when taking the tennis court.
The set of both THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid and THE ROGER Pro will launch as THE ROGER RF2 Set, getting packaged in a double box with additional laces and dust bags for both pairs. Releasing on August 29th through Kith online and in-store, the set is limited to 300 pairs and will retail for $550.
