Vans is known for its long history in skateboarding, but the SoCal company has its foot dipped in every corner of the sport and culture landscape, from surfing to Jiu-Jitsu, art, and more. So when the brand that revolutionized the canvas sneaker announced a partnership with social justice-focused soccer non-profit Black Players For Change, we can’t say it was a surprise.

The BPC x Vans Era collection features two shoes, one in black with white accents, and the other in white with black accents. The classic skate shoes are crafted with a full canvas upper for a fully traditional vibe, adding the non-profit's logo on the heel for a small bit of co-branding. “We’re excited to collaborate with Vans on this collection, which reflects our shared focus on community, sport, and creative expression,” said Allen Hopkins Jr., Executive Director of BPC.

The shoe is launched in an effort to support BPC, with Vans noting that “proceeds from the collection will directly benefit BPC programs that expand access and opportunity within soccer.” Whether you think of them as a soccer brand or not, Vans is putting its money and its feet where it counts.

Black Players For Change was founded on Juneteenth 2020, with the goal of the non-profit to lead initiatives that promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and social justice both in the game of soccer and beyond. MLS stars like Earl Edwards Jr. and Jeremy Ebobisse, president and vice president of BPC, respectively, are leading the charge for the organization.

The BPC x Vans Era collection will be released on Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025 exclusively through the Black Players for Change website. This pre-order will ship in March 2026.
