March marks the start of spring, the beginning of new blooms, and, of course, an annual display of UConn Women’s Basketball dominance. After running through another undefeated regular season to add to the school’s stockpile, Huskies star Azzi Fudd is heading into the Big East tournament in style, joining the stacked NIL roster at Jordan Brand.
Fudd joins teammate Sarah Strong and powerhouse NCAA hoopers like Kiyan Anthony, the Boozer twins, Saniyah Hall, and more on the Jordan Brand roster. In an editorial campaign announcing the new deal, Fudd showed off a Jordan-themed manicure and posed in the new Air Jordan 4 Retro Flight Club.
“I grew up watching what the Jumpman meant to basketball and to the culture around the game, so becoming part of the Jordan Brand family represents what I am stepping into and the greatness that I aspire to be,” Fudd said.
“To wear the same logo that so many legends have worn is something I don’t take lightly. For me, it’s about honoring that legacy while also helping show what the next generation of women’s basketball looks like. I’m excited to keep pushing my game forward while representing Jordan Brand with pride. And I hope that I continue to inspire young girls who dream of playing at the highest level.”
With UConn damn-near a lock for a top seed in this month’s tournament, look for Fudd to put on a show out and hit the WNBA draft in exclusive gear. Jordan Brand confirmed with Sole Retriever that the deal is multi-year and will extend to her pro career in the WNBA.
