The dreary UK winter still deserves a bit of color. For the elevated British cult streetwear brand Aries, the country’s notoriously grey weather is worthy of both embrace and enhancement. In Aries’ latest collab with gorpcore sneaker favorites Salomon, the brands combine on a two-pack of XT Whisper colorways, one in subdued brown and black, and the other in loud shades of pink and red.

The Aries x Salomon XT Whisper collection first popped up in previews over the summer, and now, we’ve got a closer look and release details about the pack. The brown and black pair combines premium material throughout, with a black suede toe, black mesh and synthetic across the side panels, premium brown leather on the lace and heel panels, and wide knit brown mesh on the tongue. A hit of orange in the middle of the tongue adds a little color to the fall-ready colorway.

On the second pair, Aries goes bright and bold, starting with red suede on the toe, red synthetic supports throughout, and a gradient mesh pattern that transitions from light pink to dark red. The red theme continues on the leather lace panel, with hot pink added to the heel, mesh tongue, and outsole underfoot. Aries branding is added to the tongue labels, mid-tongue stabilizer, and insoles on both pairs.
