The Aries x Salomon XT-Whisper Collab is Coming in Hot
Even though Aries and Salomon only started working together towards the end of last year, the two clearly have a thing for each other. After dropping the Snowclog just a few months ago, they’re already back, this time with the Aries x Salomon XT-Whisper.
While the gorpcore space is usually dominated by dark, moody silhouettes that come in every color combo as long as it’s black, Sofia Prantera's Aries is determined to shake things up. For their first take on the XT-Whisper, they've dressed the sneaker in a vibrant gradient mesh and overlaid it with fiery red suede – a dramatic departure from the model's typically low-key look. Neon pink hits wrap around the ankle for a bit of extra punch, while the London label's signature columns are stamped proudly along the collar, tying the shoe back to the brand's Roman Empire-esque aesthetic.
But, we get it. Sometimes, all you want is a classic trail sneaker with a stealthy finish. For that, Aries and Salomon have also cooked up an all-black pair. It uses all of the same premium fabrics and rugged construction, but everything's been dialed back for a more understated edge. Both versions feature Salomon's signature Quicklace system for the ultimate lockdown fit, an ultra-cushioned EnergyCell midsole for all-day comfort, and a grippy Contragrip outsole that's ready to tackle everything from city streets to mountain peaks. They're also packed in special edition shoeboxes, which is always a nice touch.
A release date for the Aries x Salomon XT-Whisper collection hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s expected to drop via Aries, Salomon, and select retailers both online and in-store sometime in Spring/Summer 2026.
