The Whitaker Group’s boutique Voltron is a force in the Southern sneaker scene, with stores like A Ma Maniere, JAIDE, Social Status, and APB bringing unique perspectives to the hype sneaker market under one umbrella. And while TWG continues to roll out new collabs from the label’s new Puma collab and adidas Do Not Duplicate collection, the stores themselves are also getting in on the action, with JAIDE and APB Air Jordan 11 Low collabs inspired by each shop’s point of view.
Local’s Only
The APB x Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Made for Locals is APB’s take on the low-top retro classic, but instead of the court, TWG’s skate shop arm decided to show out for the local skaters who call the shop home. The Made for Local’s theme was brought to life in a new editorial campaign featuring the shop’s locals picking up pairs of the Binary Blue 11s and the brand’s patchwork Dunk collab, followed by footage of the crew skating in the patent leather 11s.
Featuring the same Binary Blue shade on the shiny patent leather toebox and wavy side panels and soft leather upper above it, the thick piping between the two panels is a soft shade of pale pink with APB and Jordan detailing in small white graphics. More of the salmon pink pops on the ankle sockliner, with an iconic icy blue outsole bringing the shoe back to its OG Jordan 11 roots.
