In Portland, Oregon, rapper Aminé grew up with Outside School, a local public initiative built to teach the youth how to go wild.

The Aminé x New Balance 992 Made in USA Outdoor School is the latest pair from Aminé’s ongoing New Balance collab and his first from the Made in USA line. Covered in brown suede and mesh with shiny patent brown support panels, the midsole switches to a mix of white on the front and cream on the back, with black on the outsole.

Co-branding is added across the pair, with custom tongue and heel branding, an Outdoor School-themed graphic insole, and tackle box-themed custom packaging to bring the theme home. “Learning to love the outdoors was essential to the childhood of all Oregonians and especially me,” Aminé said. “Outdoor School helped me and so many others discover the beauties of the natural world and make so many friends/memories in the process.”
