The adidas Samba continues to dominate adidas' release calendar as the brand has tapped yet another partner to put its spin on the sneaker. Following looks at upcoming collections from Pharrell Williams' Humanrace and Grace Wales Bonner's eponymous label, the Japanese weatherproofing company All Weather Proof, known as ALWAYTH, gives the humble Samba a waterproof makeover.
The ALWAYTH x adidas Samba Pack features three distinctive color schemes: Olive Strata, College Navy, and College Burgundy. Each pair is crafted using a combination of patent leather, durable canvas, and corduroy materials on the upper, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and weather resistance. The titular hue for each pair covers most of the upper, with accenting hits found on the corduroy portions, eyelets, and branding details.
These accenting elements are given a metallic gold finish, adding a touch of luxury to the rugged design. ALWAYTHSAMBA branding is placed on the lateral midfoot. At the same time, the insole features a graphic of a blue sky with fluffy white clouds, offering a whimsical contrast to the otherwise utilitarian design. Underfoot, a gum rubber midsole and outsole complete the look, providing excellent traction and durability.
The ALWAYTH x adidas Samba Pack will release on May 17, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store in Asia. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at approximately $105.
