The Air Jordan 9 Retro OG Charcoal is Back for the First Time Since 2010

The Air Jordan 9 first hit the court in 1994, and since then, the silhouette has been one of the sleeper hits of the Jordan retro catalog. Now, after bringing focus back to the model with the Space Jam pair in black and white, a What The Kilroy color splash, and a Randy Moss PE for February, next year’s 9s are bringing back an OG in simple Bulls colors.

A Charcoal Grey Classic

The Air Jordan 9 Retro OG Charcoal was one of the debut Air Jordan 9 Retro pairs from the shoe’s 1994 debut, but we haven’t seen it back in the retro calendar for nearly two decades. The last time the Charcoal pair hit retail was 2010, and this time around, the shape is getting a revamp, with Jordan Brand reworking the 9 to better match the OG pairs.

Featuring soft charcoal grey nubuck on the toe and lower side panels, the nubuck stretches up the heel to the ankle collar. The rest of the upper switches to black nubuck, with black mesh on the tongue to match and red on the Air Jordan tongue logo and terry cloth sockliner. A hit of shiny black patent pops on the midsole, with more red on the Jumpman at the heel.

Air Jordan 9 Retro OG Charcoal Release Details

The Air Jordan 9 Retro Space Jam will be released September 19, 2026, through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online.
