The Kids' Exclusive Air Jordan 5 Retro Plaid Releases October 20

Jordan Brand's commitment to young sneakerheads becomes more evident with each passing release. The brand, which has been consistently rolling out kids' exclusive retro Air Jordans, is again under the spotlight with its upcoming Air Jordan 5, featuring plaid patterns. This first look leads to the release of the Jordan 13 Purple Venom and before 2024’s Jordan 5 Low Hurricanes, both kids' exclusives.

The dominant design choice here is the amalgamation of Tartan and plaid patterns adorning the upper of this Jordan 5. These patterns play out in a medley of shades - from the stark contrast of black and white to splashes of red, yellow, green, tan, and grey. The red pattern distinctly marks its presence on the toe and heel overlay, while the midfoot is draped in the contrasting black and white combination. Not to be overshadowed, the plastic side cage stands out in black, resonating with the eyelet's TPU above. Bright orange laces complement the Jumpman logo, which confidently sits on the tongue, lacelock, and heel tab. The sole, in a muted black, has fiery orange hints on the signature shark teeth. The sneaker gracefully concludes with a mix of black and a touch of semi-translucent clear on the rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro Plaid GS will release October 20, 2023, via Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers both online and in-store. Available in kids’ sizing, the retail is set at $160 for grade school (GS), $100 for preschool (PS), and $85 for toddlers (TD).
