Since its debut in 1990, the Air Jordan 5 has remained a favorite among sneakerheads with its fighter jet-inspired design and eye-catching midsole flame detail. For its latest rendition, Jordan Brand is preparing to drop a kids-exclusive iteration in low-top form: The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low Hurricanes.
This AJ 5, although currently pictured in our rendering, is expected to feature a color scheme of football grey, brilliant orange, and pine green. The upper comes constructed from high-quality leather, with the football grey shade dominating most of the design. Traditional elements from the iconic Air Jordan 5 are retained, including the plastic cage on the midfoot and tongue. The Jumpman logo and lace lock showcase an energetic orange hue, while green highlights bring life to the tongue lining and sockliner. Rounding out the design, the underfoot boasts an AJ5 midsole with a mix of orange, green, and white details. This striking design is paired with a semi-translucent and orange rubber outsole. While exact color placement and materials are unknown, this new AJ 5's arrangement should align with the classics based on its colorway description and the information we have obtained.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low Hurricanes GS will release in June 2024 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in kids' sizing, the retail prices are set at $140 for GS, $100 for PS, and $85 for TD.
